Ayalon Insurance Company, Ltd. through service providers, doctors, medical clinics, pharmacies and hospitals nationwide.
Their switchboard is staffed by a trained English-speaking medical team 24/7.
Unlike traditional coverage where you pay for service then get reimbursed when you return home, with Mediguard there is,
no out of pocket expense, no co-pay or deductible, no forms to complete.
Coverage for most pre-existing conditions, (see policy for exception).
Coverage up to age 75.
The benefits include:
- Maximum insurance per policy: $100,000
- Up to 90 days of hospitalization throughout Israel
- Expenses for ambulatory medical services including consultations with specialists, X-rays, ultrasound, MRIs, lab tests, diagnostic tests, and medications
- Ambulance service to hospital when warranted: Up to $500
- Medical flight of the member to his country of origin at the discretion of the provider: Up to $5,000
- Repatriation of deceased: Up to $5,000
- Emergency dental treatment: Up to $500
- Life insurance $10,000
(Not covered are pre-existing conditions, pregnancy, problems resulting from alcohol or other substance abuse, self-inflicted injuries, road accident which are covered by compulsory vehicle insurance, work and professional sporting accidents.)

Mediguard's baggage loss coverage will indemnify the insured for direct loss or damage to his/her personal luggage accompanying the insured which occurs during the period of insurance.
- this coverage commences from the moment the insured leaves their home for the overseas journey or, if the luggage is handed-over to a transporter prior to the journey, from the moment of the hand-over, and ending with the insured return to their home, all during the period of insurance and as stated below:
- luggage lost in flight while in the possession of the airline is covered by the airline.
- The total indemnity payments in accordance with this clause will not exceed above $1,500 USD.
- The policy covers expenses for the restoration of documents up to US$ 150.
- The total indemnity payments in respect of * valuables will not exceed the amount stated below:

CANCELLATION CAN CAUSE YOU TO LOSE SOME OR ALL OF YOUR PREPAID EXPENSE
Whatever the reason, when a trip is cancelled, it results in the loss of money, either partial or the full amount.
In such circumstances, trip cancellation coverage plays a very important role.
Through trip cancellation coverage, a person is able to be reimbursed for the amount that was paid for their ticket. (See limits and conditions).
Mediguard will indemnify the insured for the loss of non-refundable deposits or advance payments or payments due in the event of an unavoidable and vital cancellation of the journey prior to its commencement, due to any of the following causes
- The hospitalisation or death of the insured or an * "immediate family member". (see definitions)
- A serious accident which renders the insured bedridden on the date of the journey.
- An epidemic which prevents the insured from travelling overseas or to return due to the closure of the airport in the destination country.
- Coverage up to $2,000 USD.
